  • Lost in Love...

I must say I'm a fan of marriage.  Things are going great.

In other news I had my last final this morning and am gearing up for graduation.  Personally, I could do without the hoopla, but neither my wife nor my mother will allow me to just stop by and collect my diploma or wait for a copy in the mail!   I know it is only to embarrass me later as both mom and Kim spend time scrapbooking together and they have camera's ready to see me dressed in my cap and gown.

Mom is doing wonderful - getting rounder by the day.  She has to take it easy, doctors orders.  My sis is a little horrified by the whole baby thing - she currently isn't talking to my parents, but then they rarely talked before... drama drama.

Now that school is over, I'll try to post more!

  • Where's the love...

My parents think my trip down the aisle was romantic, maybe because mom is pregnant and a little emotional these days, but she is just soooo happy... however, my friends, seem to think I'm a little nutso, to put it mildly.

If I had to say how things are going in 5 words; great, fantastic, blissful, content, perfect.  Kim balances me, she adores me and together we fit like two pieces next to each other in a puzzle.

Why  you may ask, I can't explain it, we were having a great day and we both are fairly spontaneous!  We have known each other for many years, more casual, but known of each other.  We grew up in the same town, have similar interests and goals.  Have solid family roots and in what my friends keep asking - yes we are good together where it counts.

I never thought it would just hit me that I was ready ~ but it did.  Yes, to all those who think we are too young or haven't been together that long.  The only thing I can say to that is watch.  If it is meant as I think it is to be we will be together next week, next, month, next year, 10 years and until death do us part.

  • Fell of the face of the earth...

Wow so much has happened, where to start!  So broken leg is driving me crazy, however, I had the cast removed and am in a walking brace that goes from upper thigh to mid calf with hinges... Still on crutches, but moving!

So, Kim and I went apartment hunting which led to talk about the future and we ended up being crazy and driving to Vegas and got MARRIED last week.... yes, you did read that correctly.  We now share the same anniversary as Bruce Willis!!!    I am now living in her/our apartment and once I graduate we are going to look for a small starter house ~ prices are low at the moment in our area because of the housing crisis, lots of forclosures to snatch up.

Anyway, gotta run - will spill more details later.

  • Still Here

I haven't fallen off the planet... basically, it comes down to time and my ability to do anything with a cast that goes half way up my thigh!  Can't sit unless propped, I rather lay in bed, but don't have wireless and my cable isn't long enough (no jokes please) Then there are the two biggest reasons... studying for mid-terms and getting in as much time as I can with Kim.

I have one more test this week and then Spring Break!  I need some down time.  As for Kim, things are great, but that also scares me.  I don't want to rush the relationship, but I have feelings I've never had before.  I find myself daydreaming of settling down and the thought of happily ever after.  I try to tell myself it is too soon to think of that, but I can honestly say I'm in love.  We have had to experiment a little when it comes to spending quality naked time together because of my cast, but I think it has allowed us the time to learn more about each other more intimately through open conversation.

Next week I start the great apartment hunt - Mom and Dad agreed I shouldn't move out until after I graduate... I'm looking to get into my own place starting June 1st, but still I need to find a place that 1. I like and 2. that I can afford.

  • so many updates...

Sorry for the long time between posts, things have been crazy.

My weekend... What a weekend, using only adjectives I would describe it as; romantic, fun, exhilarating, cheesy, cold, warm, sexy, joyous and painful!  Our first night we had fun with the group, sang kareoke, danced (at least I tried) and after coming back to the lodge we played various board games.  We retired as they say back to our room about 2am. In our bedroom, was a gas log fireplace, which we turned on and watched as we talked and snuggled before falling asleep.

Saturday we spent the morning window shopping through the village, stopped  for coffee and just had some cozy time talking before heading back to the lodge.  We then got together with the group for some skiing... I much prefer snowboarding, but started on ski's, so all was good.  We made two trips down the slopes before heading in to sit by the large fire place in the lobby.  We met some great people outside of our group and agreed to join them for dinner.  We headed back to our room to get ready and met up with Kurt and Andrea just before 7pm.  I felt like I was on Top Chef - we had a 4 course meal that was over the top.  After we came back and joined our new friends in their suite which had it's own private hot tub on the deck.  It is something else to run out in the freezing cold to jump into a hot tub, but well worth the experience and something I'll not soon forget.  Kurt and I set time to go snowboarding on Sunday while the girls hung out... this turned out to be where things went a little wrong :(  On our third run down I caught an edge and took a nasty spill in which my right leg went one way and my body the other.  Needless to say my weekend went from perfect to a ride on a sled then into an ambulance and then 2 1/2 hours in the  ER where I ended up in a cast.

My old friend from HS changed our schedule and we flew home on Monday morning.  What a trooper...

I took off a couple more days from work and currently still unable to drive ~ so glad to have such great friends.

Thursday my old friend from HS picked me up and we had dinner over at her place... Since I was having difficulty getting comfortable on the couch we went into her bedroom so I could lay down and watch some TV...  that is when she took advantage of me!!!

As promised; I'm officially dating Kim :)

Oh and in other news - mom is having twins, oh my...
